  • At the request of Arthur Fiedler, Leroy Anderson wrote an arrangement of waltzes by composer Richard Rodgers.  The arrangement has been performed and recorded by the Boston Pops.  Rodgers was one of the composers that Anderson admired the most.   Fiedler knew that Anderson's style of arranging would serve as a perfect treatment of waltzes by Richard Rodgers.

The arrangement was recorded by Arthur Fiedler and by John Williams. This is the Arthur Fiedler recording.
